[SOLVED] upgrade from 8 year old gaming PC (£600 budget).

Hi

I am looking to upgrade my PC from the below specs (around 8 years old) i have had a look around and realised i'm probably going to cause a bottleneck if i don't get help. only 2 parts i have changed in 8 years are the GPU and PSU (both died) 3 or 4 years ago. Any help would be much appreciated, I'm sure there are plenty of bottlenecks and will need quite a few bit changing.

i have a £600 budget. can go slightly higher if it would mean a bigger jump in performance.

I'm guessing biggest upgrade right off the bat would be a new hard drive as currently i have a 290-320mb read write speed SSD with windows on it which takes ages to load.

What are you looking to achieve with the system?
While older, a 3570K + 1060 and 8GB DDR3 is still viable enough for 1080p gaming.... Although overly CPU intensive tasks/games will definitely see a 3570K struggle.

Assuming gaming, predominantly, I'd look to something along these lines (keeping the PSU and secondary storage):

If you're prepared to reuse your case... maybe even drop the new SSD down to a ~250GB class drive and the CPU back a generation, you could just about squeeze in a much faster GPU
