You should upgrade, a GTX 1050 isn't powerful at all...
I suggest you buy this card: https://www.newegg.com/global/il-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814930002&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
It is on sale now and very cheap, it's performers a little better from a GTX 1060 6GB
While you buy this you should buy an SSD for your games because with a fast GPU your HDD just can keep up and you will experience frame drops.
I recommend this SSD: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0784SLQM6/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=xm3a06-20&linkId=d1d4e1c15d8f0877935c1b01a350158f&language=en_US

Solution
Nvidia is in the process of enabling FreeSync support. However, they seem to only be interested in enabling FreeSync automatically for monitors with LFC (ie 48-144Hz) for now. But by the sound of things, you can still enable FreeSync manually on other monitors. YMMV.

That said, below the RTX2060, AMD is still better perf/$. When AMD launches Navi in a few months we'll probably see AMD gain back price/perf lead for anything RTX2070 and below.

I would agree with a RX 580 8GB also. Great card for the money or you could look for a used GTX 1070 for $230 or so and would be a far better bang for your buck. The 1050 is a pretty weak card whereas the GTX 1050Ti is a nice little card for the price and power consumption. The SSD is also a nice suggestion but not necessary. It really only helps with load times. a SSHD or hybrid drive is a good compromise for price and storage capacity if you're interested.
