Upgrade from Athlon II X2 270?

Hi, I am from India. My Motherboard is "BIOSTAR Group A780L3C"

I don't have any graphics card, I have 8 GB ram.. I want it to upgrade so I can do some video editing... what would be best choice?

1) Can I upgrade this?

2) It's better to buy a new one?

AMD Phenom™ II X4 955, HDX955WFK4DGM 3200Mhz is best processor available for that MB according to it's compatibility list: http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=612#cpusupport
It should give you a good boost for those applications due to more cores.
On the other hand, it's pretty dated system and if you want much better performance a new build would be in order.
Other things to consider.
Any discrete GPU with VDDR5 and at least 1 GB memory would help you with HD video.
An SSD for OS and programs can speed things up too.

Yea, I am thinking to go for a new build FX 6300? Do you think it will be good?

I am a complete noob when it comes to builds...

Appreciate if you could help me with a build where I can upgrade to new processors easily in future.

FX processor platform from AMD is essentially dead with no appreciable expanding future. You either have to wait for Zen from AMD or go to newest Intel platform if you want to start small and cheap and to upgrade in next few years.
