Upgrade from FX8350?

So I'm currently running an AMD FX-8350 CPU, it seemed to be a good choice when I bought it to run with my GTX760. I've recently upgraded to a GTX980ti and I was wondering, will the 8350 hold the 980ti back or should it be fine? Also if it will, which CPU would you recommend I switch to, to maximize performance and negate bottlenecks?

Yes the 8350 will hold back a 980ti in some titles. The slowest CPU id pair with a 980ti is the I5 4460. But with Skylake(intels next gen) coming soon I'd just live with it for awhile then upgrade to skylake.

What motherboard are you using? If your capable, you should definitely try overclocking your 8350 before making a switch to new hardware.

Damn you bignastyid. I agree with him again. Wait for Skylake. The 8350 was decent but it could be time for a new upgrade..i5-6600k. It will be available in a little over a month. Then upgrade!

Intel wont release details until Gamescom which starts August 5th. Projected release dates are August - November for all the different Chipsets and CPU's.
