Upgrade from GeForce GT 545

Recently my current gt 545's fan has stopped working properly so I am in the market for a new card. But my psu is only 300 watt max with a 19amp max on the 12v rail. What is the best possible option for me? I've already had trouble running a card I purchased because my psu couldn't handle it and I don't want to make the same mistake again.

You got a budget? and what CPU you got? I'll also say get a new PSU.

Unfortunately my pc is an HP store bought pc. If I could upgrade my psu I would but I've been told more or less that I will probably be unable to upgrade that because of HP factory stuff. If I could I would upgrade my psu.
