Upgrade from gts 250 to GT 630 2 gb? is it worth it? will i see improvement?

Hi i want to upgrade my gpu to handle high settings in game and still get decent frames.. like Battlefield, Arma, Ps2, and >>FSX<<

My Specs:
Cpu: i5 750
Gpu: Gigabyte GTS 250 1gb @( core: 740 Shader: 1850 Memory: 1000)
Psu: CM 500 watt
Mobo: Gigabyte p55-ud3
RAM: 4gb kingston @ 1333 (thinking of buying 8gb or extra 4 G.skill)
Resolution: 1280x 1024

I live in NZ so i cant really use sites like newegg and amazon... but i found this at a very cheap price from a local site

i was wondering if i would see any improvement from this and if it was worth buying

So if anyone can help me out and suggest how to improve my system that would be great as im only a beginner and don't know if something is bottlenecking my graphics or what.

My budget is @ about $200 NZD but would like to save money so i can get cpu cooler and new ram... i could make it more if it was worth it

omg that place is overpriced. 250$ for a 7770? theyre on sale here for 89$... anyways get this for 15$ more http://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/Gigabyte-HD-6670-2GB-DDR3/20960220/

that 6670 is still on tomshardware budget recomendatuion list and youll see a fps improvement.

going from gts250 to gt630 will a downgrade not an upgrade. if you want performance improvement look no lower than hd7770 class performance. anything lower than that are more like side grade rather than upgrade. given your psu able to handle gts250 then you should fine to handle cards like gtx660 or hd7850.

yea thanks i will look at getting that i wasn sure if it was a downgrade cos clocks where bigger and im more into cpu and ram overclocking and stuff but thnks

Btw will this work with my pcie 2.0 x16 slot im not sure about that lol actually could of googled that oh well

Oh so i checked the chart and my gts 250 looks not too bad should i stay with it?.

Plus the problem with living in nz is gtx 660 and 7850 etc areso expensive pbtech probably cheapest.....

My main problem is when im gaming im at either 30 or 70 fps and its not very consistant it might drop to like 5 fps for a few sec and i dont know why..... and cosmy pc is 09 build i thought it might be gfx card.... but should i stay with it or does that 7750 look better...

Yup silly aye its cos it sells games etc more than pc parts but i was looking at gskill ram on there for around 60 keep in mindthis is nzd which is about 0.80 usd

isnt much diffrence and i wasnt planning on exactly buying from them pbtech is probably best but their online store is sooooo out of date

I would suggest him the 7750 too but man those prices are ridiculous!! Even if they are in NZ dollars.
In comparison I bought a 7850 2 GB for ~221 NZ$. On that site it's 327 NZ$.

The 7750 is priced "pretty fairly" compared to where I am. "Only" 30 NZ$ more expensive. So I would go with that if there are no other places you can buy a card.

performance increase was small going from GTS250 to HD7750. in some case you might not feel much unless you look closely on FPS counter. what games you have problem playing with your card especially the one with drop to 5fps you mention above?

yea I realised that but I think that rating Is based off other gts 250s like ones running memory @ 2000 which is probably gddr5...
Almost all games.... frames just drop out for a few sec I think it may be ram which is why I gonna get this first but doubt it ill solve

I really see it on FSX but also planetside 2, battlefield titles etc and even if I drop the settings it will continue just way less frequent...
