Upgrade from gtx 750 ti to 280x?

I currently have a gtx 750 ti oc edition and a friend is selling his r9 280x for cheap. So at most I'm looking at like 30-40 bucks after I get rid of the 750. Is that worth it for the upgrade or would I be better off sticking with the 750 a little longer?

As long as it is a good quality 750W, it is more than enough. But not all "750W" PSUs are created equal...
