Hi guys, I am currently looking to upgrade from my HD 4850 to a GTX 570 or a HD 6950 and unlock it to a 6970 or get a 6970 if my PSU allows it. My budget is around ₤ 200-300.

Current system specs are:

Phenom II 940 @ 3.7ghz. Northbridge @ 2.6ghz
Gigabyte Ga-ma790gp-ud4h Mobo
XFX hd 4850
1TB hitachi 7200 rpm, 32mb cache HDD
Corsair vx550 PSU
Kingston ddr2 ram @ 860mhz 5-5-5-12
and i have a Cooler master Gladiator 600 midtower case.

I dont want to upgrade my psu right now and neither my case so whatever i buy has to fit inside the CM gladiator 600. I believe i have a clearance of 10.6 inches and the gtx 570 is 10.5 or something in length.

SO please let me know about your opinion guys as to which one will last me for around 2 years. and will my current psu support it. Thanks in advance!

go with the 570 . 550 w is enough just dont crossfire

4850 cf is a cheaper alternative but i don't recommend it . it will perform like a 6850 wich is decent in almost all games .
