i have a HIS Radeon HD 7950 3Gb that i bought when i first built my pc over a year ago, now im noticing it is starting to show signs of wear. It has started to exceed 60*C when under load playing games such as cod advanced warfare whereas when i first bought it to play BF4 the max temp would be 60 degrees Celcius. Also under medium load with a few youtube videos open it is still at 50 degrees which is kinda high for a medium load i think? if i was to upgrade what would you recommend? looking to spend between £100 - £200.

You should consider getting this--> http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/138-kraken-g10-gpu-bracket.html
and a Corsair H55 maybe. Would be cheaper than getting a new GPU. But if you want to get a new GPU then you need to spend more to see some performance upgrade. Getting a GTX 970 would be a good choice --> http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-gtx970gaming4g
The current equivalent of the HD 7950 is the R9 280. If you want a significant upgrade, you will need to move up to either an R9 290(x) or GTX 970.
My recommendation would be to clean out the dust from your case and card. That is almost certainly the culprit for your increased temps. While you are at it, check to see if you have any failing fans.
It it also not too difficult to replace the thermal paste that transfers heat from the chip to the cooler. It only require taking a bunch of screws off, gently wiping off the old paste, applying new paste, and putting everything back together.

im using the stock cooler with my fx 6300, around 50C under load

the CPU isnt really a problem i dont think.. i cleaned out the case a few days ago and removed the stock cooler and cleaned all the dust off. now its performing at a steady 50C under load. Its the GPU that was the main issue really i was just wondering whether it needed to be upgraded or now

GPU's can also get clogged with dust and it is harder to see. If you didn't already do so when cleaning your CPU, you should pull out your GPU and blast out the dust.
