[SOLVED] Upgrade from i3 6100 to i5 7600k ?

Hi

I have an z270 itx board and sold my i3 6100 for 80 bucks.
I thought about upgrading the motherboard to coffee lake but then i decided to keep it because the same board for coffee lake was to expensive and i didnt want an worse board.

So i found an i5 7600k with warranty for 160 bucks.

Do you think thats fine or should i upgrade to coffee lake/ryzen?

What are you using the PC for and what's the rest of the system? Do you have a cpu cooler?

I use it for general tasks as browsing, watching videos, sometimes streaming.

I have the be quiet pure rock slim cpu cooler.

rest of the system is an 500w psu and an ssd thats it.

browsing/surfing/movies/video streaming, it should be great..

Streaming while gaming on BF1 or BF5, not so much....(4c/4t CPUs are taking a hit as it is with newest games, and adding in streaming tanks them)

(Make sure whatever cooler you put on it is adequate for a 91W CPU, the i3-6100's stock cooler will not do the job...
