Hello,
I recently bought a Gigabyte hd 7950 to replace my gtx 470. Unlike my old gtx, which used two 6 pin pcie connectors, the 7950 Used one 6 pin and one 8 pin, i dont have an 8 pin so i used a molex to 8 pin that came with the card. No signal from monitor.
I thought the problem was my psu, so i connected the gtx 470 by molex, it worked fine. I booted up with the gtx ( no onboard vid ) uninstalled nvidia driver, drivesweeped it, then install ati driver. Still no signal.
At this point i thought the card was faulty, i rmaed at, got a replacement, tried every step again, still no signal. My 680w psu met the require and the 7950 require less power than my old gtx, so i dont see whats wrong.
Im seriously considering getting a refund, pay 15 pcts restocking fee and quit pc gaming so good as this is already too much headache. Would appreciate it if you guys could help.
