Several years ago i had bought the msi 990fxa-gd65 motherboard but never took the big step of upgrading my cpu and with my system reaching its limits , i came to a conclusion that i have to upgrade my rig. I was wandering if upgrading to fx8350 is a viable option. I am a also going to upgrade from 4gb of ram to 8gb or 16gb ( i dont know wich brand at the moment , but any advice is more than welcome) and buy a samsung 850 evo 250gb .Finaly my gpu is the Geforce 250 gts wich also needs to be upgraded.

Thanks in advance !

MB has decent VRM so 8350 should work fine. Just check CPU compatibility list for BIOS version required for it. An SSD is always a welcome option. Your GPU badly needs an upgrade for anything but office work. Which one, it's up to your game requirements but anything over GTX 1060 or Rx 470/570 would be throwing money away on that system.
As far as RAM goes, 4GB is just too little nowadays, 8GB is a real minimum. For best performance get them in pairs like 2x4 or 2x8 and I'd suggest Kingston HyperX 1866MHz. That's "natural" FX's frequency and Kingston is most compatible with FX systems.
