like playing open world games and adventure games with choices in it like witcher 3 and mass effect, i also play black desert sometimes. i know that the gpu is the main component when it comes to gaming so im uncertain if its going to be a waste or will i even see any improvements at all.Depends on what games you will be playing, but overall its a MASSIVE improvement.
my psu is evga 450bv. that's what i thought, might as well just wait and save up a bit more to upgrade both cpu ,gpu, and psu at the same time, my days of playing competitive games are long over so i wont benefit from it haha. thanks for answering my question.Witcher 3 and Mass Effect and more GPU-demanding than CPU, so a GPU upgrade would honestly do you better for those types of games, than a better CPU.
FPS,MOBA games like CSGO, Valorant for example are more CPU-demanding and that when you are really going to see and feel the biggest difference if you upgrade your CPU, while open world games like Witcher 3, Cyberpunk,etc.. require a way better GPU than CPU, simply because there are more details to process.
What is your budget for this upgrade, and what's the exact make/model of your powersupply?
Yeah, your pc is a good budget build, but for more demanding games its just not enough. Better save for an entire new build!my psu is evga 450bv. that's what i thought, might as well just wait and save up a bit more to upgrade both cpu ,gpu, and psu at the same time, my days of playing competitive games are long over so i wont benefit from it haha. thanks for answering my question.
do it. its good, but i would swap out to a 5600 if possible and also a RX6600. You can get a used 6600 that wont cost much especially if you can sell your existing gpu
I made this post intending for the cpu to just be a small upgrade, the 3600 is $70 while the lowest 5600 ive seen is $140 (not from us, just converted). Is the price disparity worth it to get the 5600? i planned to just get the 3600 now then follow it up with a gpu upgrade but after i posted this i just thought of saving up and buying it in one go since i wont get much improvement if i just upgraded the cpu it seems.
alright thanks, is there going to be much difference if, lets say, i upgraded my gpu with an rtx 4060?In that case get the 3600 then and a new gpu. You wont see much difference in performance when gpu limited with the 3600 or 5600
Massive, completely two different worldsalright thanks, is there going to be much difference if, lets say, i upgraded my gpu with an rtx 4060?
