I have a Asus GTX 780 Direct Cu II and an i5 3570K. Should I upgrade my CPU to an i7 4790K or should I upgrade my GPU to a GTX 980?

Solution
get another 780, if youre only gaming. I recommend waiting for the broadwell to come out, if youre upgrading cpu, (for just cause...) upgrading to the 4th gen from a 3rd gen, you will need a new motherboard. Therefore, the only option you have is a 3770k if you want to upgrade cheaply.

Yes. The i7 4790K comes with a mobo bundle. Is the GTX 980 worth the upgrade from a gtx 780? Or should I wait for a GTX 980 with more vram? I game at 1080p.

get another 780 and it would def solve the problem. I know some of those game requires more vram, but who needs to play with AA on at 1080p? Im sure you can get a 780 for cheap on blackfriday. performance to price ratio isnt worth an upgrade for 980. I mean if you have money, by all means do it.

Every CPU has trouble with AC: U. It is broken right now.
What makes you think that you are having CPU related problems with other games?
