Upgrade GPU ?

So i have a evga gtx 970 with acx 2.0 cooling, I got for $120. I was wondering if I want to upgrade it is the 1060 worth it or is it the same proformence. If it is i'll get the 1070. An thoughts??

The GTX 1060 would be a side-ways move from the GTX 970. The extra VRAM would be nice, but not a good move IMO. The GTX 1070 would be a much wiser move. Use Tom's GPU Hierarchy Chart and look for a 2 tier move or more when upgrading.
