Question Upgrade GPU?

If I’m having fps stutters and drops would upgrading my GPU and power supply fix it? I have the 550 W PSU and the 1050Ti and I was thinking of upgrading to a 650W and a 1070Ti

I'd upgrade my ram first, 8GB is not alot and you will need more after.. So upgrade the ram first as remixislandmusic said and if that doesnt fix the problem try another GPU.. Its not a loss if the ram doesnt fix it because you will need a ram upgrade later on so yeah

Well, I don't play fortnite anymore, so...
Hahaha. I actually upgraded my gpu to a 480 8gb, but I don't play fortnite anymore to test if it went away.

So what would upgrading ram actually do

If your PC runs out of ram, your computer will have to use your storage drives as a page file. Since your storage drives are so much slower than ram, every time a page file is used, performance will stutter.
Similar happens if you run out of Vram.
Id upgrade PSU, GPU, and ram if possible.

Also how do I check how much a ram I’ve used

Quickly you can open task manager, open game, and see how much ram is used.

There are many apps to see the ram usage like MSI Afterburner download it and if you cant set it up just look on YT

If u do upgrade ur gpu dont do a 1070ti they are not worth anymore do a 2060 or a vega 56/64

Yes to both will help increase FPS did you try disabling vsync?
