upgrade graphics and procesor

Hi all,

My last PC was built 6 years ago and its time for a bit of an upgrade, I'm a bit out of touch with all the various options these days so was hoping for some advise. Below are the specs of my current set up and im looking to improve graphics card and procesor...here's the kicker budget is a small £250

That really is your best option. Pick up a 1050ti, maybe a better power supply to carry over to another build, and start saving, then you can do a ram, CPU and board upgrade later.
As a minimum get a new psu, I wouldn’t risk any new hardware on such a low quality psu which is 6 years old. CIT are listed as tier 5 (avoid) http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

As for upgrade you can look at a 1050Ti but I have doubts about the rest of your system. The FX8120 is not enough to average 60fps in modern games regardless of which gpu you pair with it. Your motherboard is also a concern, it’s known for issues supporting 125w CPU’s so putting the cpu under more load by installing a better gpu may cause other issues to surface.

My recommendation is leave this system alone and start saving for a whole new system, that £250 is a good start towards a much better system.
