Hello,

So my current configuration is Intel Core i5-3570K processor, ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard, CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB DDR3 RAM, and XFX GeForce GT 240 graphics card.
I am wanting to upgrade the graphics card in order to get better performance; I don't care about the latest and greatest however. I have a single DVI monitor at 1920x1080. My power supply is at 550w.

I do appreciate any help and recommendation you can give.
Thanks!

There are plenty of options that you could upgrade to with a setup like that - that cpu should handle most games fine at 1080p. I guess the real question is what is your budget?

Also I would suggest looking at upgrading your ram to 16gb if possible.

I'd replace the PSU with a far better quality unit.

Thank you for the recommendations. Do you feel it would be favorable to upgrade my system RAM as well?

Unless your multitasking a lot (game/Discord/web/etc) I think 8gb is still decent nowadays for gaming. A friend of a mine has a 4590/8gb/R9 290 and has no issues running games like the Division 2 on 1080P/60hz around Medium settings and having Discord open.
