I have an old Dell Vestro 4600 with the Core i5 2400, 8gb 1333hz ram, 350w power supply, and an old 9800GT. Is there any Graphics card that is compatible with this PC? Motherboard: Dell y2mrg. I have an AMD 8570, but the screen gets no signal but everything runs, like the fans( I believe it's the power supply) Please help!

The mother board has a 16 PCI-E Slot

Would an insufficient power supply cause everything to run (fans etc.) but not output any signal to the screen?

Umm, no. It just wouldn't start at all. You would need a new PSU, but they're not expensive. here's a cheap budget one that should work: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026

Can you help me resolve my issue with the 8570? I have tried two, but both have output no signal even when the HDMI was plugged into the integrated graphics.

if the HDMI is plugged into the motherboard, then you should be getting Integrated Graphics. If you are not getting integrated graphics, then there might something wrong with your i5 2400, either that, or motherboard.

The Integrated graphics and the original 9800GT work perfectly fine with the PC. Then when I put in the 8570, I get no input what so ever

Well the 8570 wouldn't have a great power draw, I think it would most likely just be the GPU's problem. Unless, somehow I''m wrong, you can try out a new PSU. But you did say that your fans were running, so no I wouldn't say it was a PSU problem. Also, did you happen to mistakenly put the HDMI cord into the motherboard instead of the GPU when running the computer? If you put it into the motherboard, you would get Integrated graphics and not your dedicated GPU.

I did make sure it was plugged in correctly and the HDMI was in the correct slot for the GPU. It does go from DVI to HDMI if that means anything useful

When the computer boots up, do the GPU Fans spin at all?

yes

Have you tried another monitor? Maybe the DVI to HDMI cord you're using is broken?
