Question Upgrade GTX 750 TI to 1660

Hey guys I would to upgrade my PC
I have:
GTX 750 Ti 2GB
i5 4460
motherboard b85m-d3h
8gb ram 1600mhz

Should I buy another RAM and motherboard?

More system RAM is never a bad thing as AAA titles can cause page swapping on 8GB now, so going to 16GB would be good. You are going to be limited in the future with that CPU, but it will still work for gaming now.

See if you can swing the RX 470/480 8gb model. I hear they out perform the GTX 1660 and has twice the amount of vram.

Those will not out perform a GTX 1660. https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1660-turing-tu116,6027-3.html The 1660 is typically a little faster than the 1060 6GB or RX 590 8GB.

Good point, however If the RX 470/480 8gb costs less, i'd advise against the gtx 1660 as the above hardware specifications aren't all that great. Especially if the end user only has a 1080p 60hz monitor. The i5 4460 and 8gb of system memory would hold back the gtx 1660 in modern day triple A titles.

The GTX 1660 is pretty much a rebranded GTX 1070
