I have £200 pounds to spend what is the best gpu that i can buy

well considering pounds are worth more than the U.S. dollar i would think this would be a good GPU for your price

I own it myself and its good enough to play BF3 ultra without very many frame drops no overclock i have not tried to overclock it yet

What is the difference between the 7870 and the 660gtx

Take a note that this is a review of a particular manufacturer 7870. You should see similar performances across most 7870s.

Also, there is a big difference between the 660 gtx and the 660 ti gtx. For the most part, the 7870 is a little cheaper than the 660 ti. But they have similar performance.
