Upgrade help needed

So for the best few months I've been wanting to upgrade my current system with the focus being a new cpu, as the one I have now goes crazy every time I perform basic functions such as browsing the internet or watching a video. Main issue is my friend gave me an AMD FX 8350 though I'm not sure if I would be able to just swap it with my current processor. Not sure if my current mobo would be compatible with the new cpu.

Current Motherboard is an Inspiron 570 from what I can gather.
Current processor is an AMD Athlon II x2 250 3.00 Ghz

Nearly no chance you can just reuse that board. You'll need an am3 socket board that supports 125w processors. You can get one fairly cheap so it won't be too expensive
