Pc specs:
GeForce GT 710
Asus P6T X58 LGA 1366 socket
8gb ddr3 ram
2TB HDD
680w PSU
I7 920 quad-core

I want to upgrade both my GPU and CPU for 200 dollars anyone have some recommendations? Something that can run games like Fallout 4 and Dark souls 3 at a solid above 30 fps. 1080p.

Solution
The graphics card you are using is not considered as a gaming card.
You will likely spend the greater part of your $200 budget on a graphics card. Perhaps a GTX1050ti for $150 or so.

Your cpu is still relatively capable, but you might find a modest upgrade on ebay.
Here is a list of supported processors:
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/P6T/HelpDesk_CPU/

A I7-950@ 3.06 might be $50.

Anything faster will be pricey.

I would do the graphics update first and see how you do.

Start changing that GPU.. u can go with a 1050Ti for the price if you dont ask for a powerful gaming.. Otherwise u can go for a 750Ti or AMD..

CPU too is a bit old, but you can still play.
