Upgrade (Home Prem) to Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate or Windows 8

Have W 7 Home Prem.
Want to upgrade to be able to back up on to (home) network drive. Home Prem doesn't allow this.
Windows 8 upgrade is on sale from Microsoft @ $39.99.
Anybody know if W 8 allows back up to network?

All Editions of Windows 8 allow file backups to a network drive.
However, on a slightly unrelated note, do make sure that your laptop, PC or motherboard manufacturer supports Windows 8 on your particular model (ie do they have Windows 8 drivers on their website). Don't just take it for granted that all Win7 drivers will work on Win8, or that the Win8 DVD will have all the drivers you need.

Thank you Phil22 and Blackbird very much. I did run the MS W8 compatibility adviser and didn't com up with an significant issues, though I will investigate the M/Board Mfg a little more.
