Hello everyone....
I currently have an HP Z620 Workstation with a:

Xeon Socket 2011 E5-2670 (8-core)
48gb ddr3-10600r
Nvidia Quadro K620 GPU
1tb ssd primary & 2tb hdd data

Currently, it is powered by an HP Z620 800-watt Power Supply, which I would like to swap with an HP Z640 925-watt Power Supply.
I checked the dimensions and they both have the same physical dimensions, the plugs appear in the same locations. The only difference that I can see is the differences in physical power.
Does anyone know if the swap can be done safely? And if not, then why not?

The question was whether I could put a 925-watt power supply into an hp z620..

The reason behind my asking is because I
would like to upgrade my system with:
1.) Nvidia Quadro FX-5800
2.) Nvidia Tesla K10 Accelerator

Both of he Nvidia cards, when combined, require more inputs than I currently have and may well exceed the 800-watt PSU's output allotment for the two PCI-e cards. Hence my inquirie of the possibility of using the Z640 925-watt PSU in the Z620. Both the 620 and the 640 psu dimensions seem identical, so will the 640 psu fit in and work in a Z620?
