I have an HP h81020. It has a horrible mother board in it and I would like to upgrade it so I can upgrade the GPU. Even though my old MoBo (carmel 2) has a pci express 2.0 slot other people say it will not take newer graphic cards for some reason. The board is a micro atx lga 1155 slot. My processor is an i7 2600s. Would I have any problems just buying a micro atx lga 1155 motherboard and and putting it in my current case? The case itself seems to have a good amount of room, but not sure if HP cases are special made or not?

Solution
Not positively sure about an AMD card. However, I'm sure that a GTX 660 will work, but if you can find a GTX 680 for cheap on eBay or something, then it's worth it. Also, an XFX TS 550w PSU will be a good fit for that PC.
If your OEM motherboard does not have the UEFI interface BIOS, then NVIDIA GeForce 700 or higher GPUs are not compatible. You can replace the motherboard with any Micro ATX-compliant motherboard, but remember that you will need to renew the Windows license if you do that. This motherboard has USB 3.0, SATA III, and PCI-E 3.0. Also remember to upgrade the PSU to comply with the new GPU.
