Upgrade [HW] advice for better graphics / performance while gaming

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: GPU, or if you think something else would be better would consider that as well
Location: Washington State

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I want to be able to turn my graphics settings up to high / ultra for the games I play. Lots of AAA FPS such as BF1, also early access games like PUBG.

I have this HW:
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5 GHz Socket AM3+ 95W FD6300WMHKBOX Desktop Processor
Graphics card: SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon R9 270X DirectX 11.2 100364VXL 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support OC WITH BOOST Video Card
RAM: 16 GB

My question is what GPU would give me the best bang for my buck? or if you think I should upgrade elsewhere what is that?

I would suggest a GTX 1060 Ti in that price range. As long as your PSU is adequate to run your 270x, you won't need to upgrade it, as a 1060 actually runs on a bit less power.
