Upgrade : i5 3330 or Ati HD 7850

Hey Guys im going to upgrade mi CPU or my GPU

Dont know which one will give me better performance for gaming, and i can buy 1 now and the other in 3 months.

Current Rig:
CPU: Intel® Celeron® Processor G1610 (2M Cache, 2.60 GHz)
MOBO: Asus h61m-e
Ram: 4GB Kingston
Video: Geforce GT 610 2GB
PSU: 650W Cooler Master SP


Any Suggestion?

GPU would increase more performance since yours is not for gaming but you could get another GPU depending where you live. Also the PSU should be changed since it is from Cooler Master.

just wait the full 3 months for both. Haswell refresh will be shipping, maybe the current chips get priced dropped. Nvidia Maxwell 20nm is supposed to drop sometime in the 1st half of 2014. Im pretty sure you would need a BIOS update to use Ivy bridge in that mobo, I could be wrong though.

Yea gpu would give you the performance you need now to play games and the CPU will give you a nice added boost when you get the money for it

I dont know if i should get the 7770/7790 both with 1gb or the 7850 2gb, since some ppl told me mi MOBO would bottleneck the 7850.

OR i can even get the "Sapphire Ati Radeon R7 260x 2gb" for a great price.

Yes, generally you want to spend more on a better GPU than CPU, but if your GPU is out running the CPU by a mile then you well never see the performance you were expecting

The difference between pcie 2.0 and 3.0 is minimal so immaculate is right. If you can afford it then go for the radeon 7850 since the i5 3330 won't bottle neck it at all.
