[SOLVED] Upgrade i5 3570 for ryzen 3 1200 worth it?

Hello , i currently have an i5 3570, and i'm having issues with the motherboards cause they are expensive and really Basic, one friend wants to sell a ryzen 3 1200 + mobo+ ram really cheap, and i can sell my i5 and mobo+ram for the price of the R3, should i upgrade?

What are you hoping to achieve?

By the looks of things, the Ryzen 3 1200 isn't going to be an upgrade, more like a sidegrade. If you're looking to move onto a newer platform and currently supported CPUs, then it's worth considering.

If you're looking for substantial gaming performance increase with the change, then I don't believe it's worthwhile.
