Upgrade i5 3570k

Should I upgrade from my i5 3570k @3.4ghz to an i7? Or use the money to buy a second monitor and an 250gb ssd? Bare in mind I only really use it too game and I have gtx 970. But I want the pc to be future proof for another year at least. I've heard the i7 isn't worth it for solely gaming but I want to be sure. The main games I will be playing will be wow, battlefront and fallout 4.

You kind of answered your own question. There's nothing wrong with that 3570K, thus there's no reason to replace it. Given your current setup, I'd rather have the second monitor and SSD.

So the 3570k will be viable for playing games at ultra settings at 1080p for the near future ?
