Upgrade i7 7700k

Hi, I have an i7 7700k and I was wondering if I should upgrade it to a Coffee Lake CPU while I can (I dont have much money now so I would sell the i7 and buy another CPU with that money).

No real reason to move from 7th to 8th gen like that.
Save the money.

Going 8th or 9th gen would also require a new motherboard.

If your motherboard is a Z170/Z270 and you have good cooling you could overclock that 7700K and get at least a few more years out of it. If not even at stock that CPU should still last quite awhile.
