Upgrade issue for Alienware 14

Hey, I am buying a used Alienware 14, it comes with Windows 7. The guy is going to wipe it so all that is left is the stock Alienware software like command center and respawn and all that. My question is I like Windows 8.1 more so how will I upgrade to it without losing the Alienware software? Alienware doesn't sell a dvd with there version of 8.1 unless you bought one preloaded with it. Someone help me out here!

You can upgrade from Windows 7 to windows 8.1 using the following procedure:
