Upgrade monitor or buy games?

Hello all,

I currently have a monitor with the resolution of 1440x900 and my GPU is the GTX 970.

My question is do I upgrade to a 1920x1080 monitor or buy some of the latest games out this year such as The Division, Far Cry Primal and more?

Thanks for the reply. I decided to just get a new monitor, felt like my 970 wasn't achieving it's potential on the 900p monitor.
