A couple years ago when I first built my computer I obviously needed to get a decent mouse to go with it. I didn't have that much money at the time (especially after building my pc) so I bought a cheap mouse. I got the Redragon Mammoth because I saw the DPI was 16400 and thought that sounded good. I didn't really know what that meant at the time. Now that I'm wiser and have some money should I buy a better mouse like a Logitech G502 or G900 or keep the Mammoth? I'm open to other suggestions if you have any.

Depends on how big your hand is and what grip you prefer. I use a Deathadder Elite and I love it, but it is a little big for me so I may get a Zowie Ec2-a in the future. The logitech mouses are also a really good brand of mice. I may look into those also. Just make sure you know how big your hand is and what type of grip you use.
I have used same mouse for 8 years... it shows as parts of its outer shell are worn down and i can see the led shining through. I have a Steelseries sensei, it too can do silly high speeds but I hardly use them - they only helped when i got a 4k screen and old speed was too slow. Feature I like most is it stores drivers on mouse so i never need to install any. has a CPU onboard as well so it can store settings for a few different profiles. Slightly overkill.

I would go find the mice in a shop and see if they fit hand before buying one. NO point if mouse is too big or small for your hand, you be using it for a while after all. Its weight is also a consideration.

I used to collect mice and buy a new one every few months but I don't do that anymore
