I've built a 11600k system 5 years ago (it started with a 10600k and I made a swap deal for a couple of beers).
It has 32GB RAM and a 2070-Super.
I am thinking to get a used 6900xt, 7800xt or maybe even a 9070...
But I am scared that this GPU upgrade might not bring me into playing 2024 titles at 1440p with high (not ultra) settings, as the CPU might be a bottleneck.
I know it's "test and see" situation, but I don't want to be stuck with a GPU that isn't utilized while I save and build a new platform.
If I upgrade, it will be something like a 7600/x and whatever GPU is matching that level, and then hopefully find cheap upgrades along the way....
What do you think, 11600k still has a couple of years left in it? I don't care about getting 300fps, just as long as I can keep it over 60fps for a while
