For starters, my setup:
MB: BIOSTAR TA990FXE AM3+
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition (OCed to 3.8Ghz)
GPU: MSI N560GTX Twin Frozr II/OC
RAM: CORSAIR (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600
PSU: Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W
The long and short of it: I want great performance and quality for my gaming. I'm currently getting decent performance, but have to play around with settings on each game, making concessions on this or that graphics option (med shadows, lower AA, etc). I am concerned about spending a lot of money if I'm going to run into a bottleneck.
If it's a simple answer like upgrading my gfx card, as seems to be the norm, would it be worth it to just get a 670? Or could I save some $$$ and still get a decent boost in quality and FPS by SLIing another 560? Not willing to spend more than the cost of a 670.
Or should I look to improve my CPU? I feel as though I'm in a small hump where nothing's really dated enough to worry me, but if I want better performance than I'm getting now (and maintain it), I may need a general overhaul of the system. Or am I wrong?
