Upgrade my CPU or GPU?

Hey guys so im planning on upgrading my PC but I dont what part is worth to upgrade. For my CPU I have an i5 4690k at 3.5 ghz and for my GPU i have a Tri-X R9 290 4gb. Which one should I upgrade if im gaming on 1080p screen?

It depends on how big of an upgrade you are doing. If you are upgrading to the top of line GPU's then you might see some bottlenecking. As long as you don't do that then you should upgrade the GPU first.

Definitely a GPU upgrade. Your CPU will have minimal bottleneck with even a 1080 ti, especially if overclocked.

definitely goes with GPU if its for gaming. If your worried about bottlenecking (which will be minimal if any at all) then you can always put your CPU's overclocking capabilities to good use
