Upgrade my CPU? Or upgrade something else? (Thanks in advance)

Hi all, I'm looking to upgrade my first build, and I'm a bit directionless. I've painted myself into a weird corner with my components, and want to know where I should spend the money to get good fps for 1080. Right now I am struggling to get consistant 60fps.

I know that my current crossfire setup isn't ideal (for a couple reasons, not the best MoBo for Crossfire, way too much ram) but that's what I'm looking to learn about and fix. My budget is flexible, but I don't want a complete overhaul, just an

CPU: FX-6350
GPU: 2x Gigabyte R9 270x 2gb (Crossfire)
MoBo: ASUS M5 A97 r2.0
Ram: Crucial 16 GB
PSU: EVGA 750w
Storage: 250 SSD for OS/Games & 1 TB for docs

The CPU and by extension the MOBO should be replaced, aim for an i5.

Also consider selling the 2 270's and getting a GTX 970 or R9 390, the money you'd get for those should almost cover it.
