Upgrade my CPU?

I am looking to upgrade my CPU because currently i have an AMD 760k CPU and a MSI-A78M-E35 Mobo

I am looking to upgrade my CPU to an Intel cpu, (Preferably an I5) the porblem is, i dont know much about MOBOs and CPUS and i dont believe i can take out my AMD Cpu and plop in an Intel one am i right?

So i am looking for a new mobo that supports an I5 and my current GPU (which is a Radeon R7 260x), i am also looking for a new CPU (Again, an I5 or better) but i dont know which one to get because their are many numbers at the end of the Cpus and i dont know which ones are good and which ones are bad.

Last but not least it needs to fit in my Corsair Spec-01 case

So if anyone could help me that would be great!

The best bang for your buck i5 at the moment is the 4690k... awesome chip and provides stunning performance!

How much is the biggest thing we need to know. Big diff if you have $250 to spend and $500.

Also your motherboard won't take a Intel cpu but will take AMD FX series chips.

Which i5 CPU do u want ?

If u want to overclock, then get an i5 4690k with an MSi Z97 G43
If u dont, get an i5 4460 with an asrock h97 pro4

Both are perfect for gaming, but I recommend the 4460 if under budget

will a GIGABYTE GA-H97M-D3H do better or work at all?
