My system is currently running an fx4350 CPU and an xfx 7850 Gpu. I'm looking to upgrade the build around Boxing Day but I don't know whether to upgrade the CPU or GPU. For the GPU I was Looking into a gtx 770. For the processor I was looking into either I new mobo and i5 series chip or just getting a new 9000 series FX CPU. Gaming wise I would assume the gpu would be better but I don't know if my current CPU would greatly bottleneck the 770.

As long as your PSU, motherboard, and CPU cooler are decent you could upgrade the CPU and GPU. Something like a FX-8320 and GTX 760.
Your CPU doesn't need to be upgraded. As long as your PSU is decent, your GPU should be uipgraded. I would say the 770 is the way to go, as the AMD 280/290 are hard to find and overpriced.

Right now I'm at work so I don't have access to my system to find the exact motherboard model but everything else I know of the top of my head. 8gb ddr3 ram. Amd fx-4350 processor. Xfx Radeon 7850 with 1gb gddr3. 1tb seagate hybrid solid state drive. Power supply is 550 watts. Sorry if I'm making this a bit difficult by forgetting post some information.

anyone else noticed that he only has 1GB of vram?depending on the settings that will cause serious issues when the game runs out of vram and starts to swap textures in and out of vram. this WILL cause stutter issues. run afterburner and have it monitor vram usage while playing. I'll bet it's maxing your vram. ( bf3 maxes my 2GB vram 5870's without AA....) and Bf4 uses more
