Upgrade My Gaming.

Hey guys hoping you could help me out, I have money to spend to upgrade my rig. The main game I play is FFXIV and their system requirements are:

Operating System: Windows® 7 64 bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5
Graphics: NVIDIA® Geforce® GTX 660 or higher, AMD Radeon™ HD 7950 or higher
Memory: 4GB of RAM.

So here is my setup...

Windows 7 64 bit
Processor: Intel Quad Q9450 @ 2.66 GHZ-2.7ghz
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
Memory: 4GB of RAM.
Power supply: 600W

So I feel like i need to upgrade my processor... but after researching a bit with L2 cache and L3 cache and processors in general, I am quite stumped.

The problem with my current setup is that when there is a lot of stuff going on screen at once, I tend to lose a lot of frames. It is still playable but what also worries me is that my fan will go full blast and tends to do so more often if I have the graphics turned up anything past standard.

so my question is, what would be the best buy to increase my performance by a high %? or any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Dont worry TOO much on cost.

Thanks everybody!
Sincerely, Broshi

UPDATE! My PSU is 600B bronze
Output power shows 600W @ 40 degrees Celsius

system model is KT608AV-ABA d5000t

My budget for the upgrade is within triple digits, wanna stay out the thousands. Preferably 300-400 range if possible?
