Upgrade my graphic card (zotac Gtx 760 2gb)

Hello, i've bought my gtx 760 about 2 years ago now and i'm already thinking about changing it because i get dont have so high frame rates in my most played games like gta 5 and star citizen so i've been thinking about either getting another 760 for sli, getting a gtx 970, a r9 390 or wait till this summer for new releases and maybe price drops on a gtx 980 or something. Im really interested in the r9 390 because of the 8gb but the fact that its not with nvidia annoys me because i wont be able to gamestream with geforce experience and i heard it heats a lot...

My cpu is a Amd fx-9590, 16gb ram. I most likely will need to change my psu as well but i dont really mind.

I only play in 1080p and dont plan on having a 2k or 4k screen untill like 5 years maybe, i plan on having either oculus rift or htc vive but as the price is much higher than i expected it might take a while too..

If you are desperate then get a 970, not another 760. Some games don't support SLI anyway so you will be getting the FPS of 1 760 when you could be getting the FPS of a 970. If you are not desperate then wait it out until Pascal and see if they have any good cards for your price, compare that performance to the 970 and see if the extra money is justified since the 970 will be reduced. The 980 will also be reduced but not to the current price of the 970 so you will still be paying more for that than you would now for a 970 most likely.

As for the 390, the 8gb seems nice but is only needed for 1440p and 4k. NOT for 1080p. It is pricier than the 970 and their performance is pretty much equal with 1 slightly sneaking ahead in some games and the other in some other games.

Noone does, just wait and see what happens. If Pascal's 970 cant justify the higher price than the 970 then just get the 970 then since it will be cheaper
