Upgrade my graphics card

Hi just need to know which graphics card to up grade to play the latest game on my cpu my Motherboard Hewlett -Packard 304bh (xui processor )Processor intell (r) core (tm) i7 cpu 860 @ 2.80ghz
Video card ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 series
Memory 8.1gb
Operating system Microsoft Windows 7 professional edition service pack 1 (built 7601) 64 bit
Total memory 4.0gb

It depends on how much you want to spend. In Nvidia I would suggest Nvidia GeForce GTX 960/970/980/690. In AMD I would suggest R9 280X/290/290X/295X2. You could also go for AMD/ATi HD 7970

U might think this is a stupid question but what's the difference between a 2g to a 4g.
Cuz I have been looking and I keep seeing a 2g and a 4g.

Also I keep seeing all different R9 280X .starting from 200 to 600 . I don't know which one to pick.its so confusing what to pick.sorry I'm new to upgrading components to my cpu. Also if I pick the R9 280X,would I play the latest games on 1080p with no problem. Like ps4

No it is not all a stupid question. Well, I will not get into technical terms, the only difference between 2GB and 4GB can be seen at higher resolutions. if you want to run above 1080p 4Gb will have better performance, while at lower resolutions both will serve just fine. Hope you get the idea.
