Upgrade my i5 6400?

Hi, is worth upgrading my i5 6400? i use my pc mostly for gaming, i have a gtx 1060 and 12gb of ram ddr4

I thinking about getting i7 6700, because my mobo don't support kaby lake cpu (already tried with a friend's i7 7700)

an I& 6700 will give you more performance due to the higher clockrate and more threads with the added hyperthreading feature for games. the 7700 likely didn't work for you because you need to upgrade your BIOS to support a kaby lake CPU

What is your motherboard mr. bonji?

Performance gain from upgrade will be around few FPS in most games. 200 euro not worth it.

is a pre assembled acer desktop tc 780 r01, so unfortunatly there are no bios for kaby lake

no nothing, just an acer motherboard, it just say is revision r01, only the r02 have bios for kaby lake
