upgrade my RAM

I would like to buy this upgrade, but it's getting kind of complicated to figure what memory will work with my system or not..
for example these are the specs for this upgrade...

I also went to this HP approved site to see which memory would work for me but they do not have my model number listed.... I have HP/Compaq Pavilion P6724Y

That won't work, the max memory supported is 4GB, 2GB per stick.

so I am maxed out at 4 gb's?
what about the part that says Home Premium 64-bit max if 16GB?

Ok, thanks I'll check that option out

The best thing you can do, then, is take your computer to a local microcenter or Fry's where they guarantee their parts with an additional $10 or something they'll test it in store before you walk out the door.

You might just have to settle for the fact that you need to be saving for a new computer.
