Upgrade Netgear R7000

I've been using Netgear R7000 for about 3 years, and to be honest I'm fed up with their buggy firmwares. Updated to latest firmware and now WiFi speed is unstable.

I need something that can meet this requirements:
- stable speed of 500 Mbps downstream and 500 Mbps upstream
- good WiFi speeds and coverage (AC, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)
- USB ports for external HDDs
- functional and user-friendly interface
- 24/7 stability

Any suggestions?

A wired router and one or more Ubiquity Access points. An Edgerouter Lite or a MikroTik Hex for the router. Obviously if you do all Ubiquity, then add a cloud key to the installation for simplified management.
