Upgrade Nvidia EVGA GTX 760, SLI, or wait

I have a dilemma. Currently my setup is

CPU: Intel i5 4670K 3.4 GHz 22nm
RAM: 8.00 GB DDR3
MB: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H-CF
GPU: Nvidia Geofrce EVGA GTX 760 (2GB)
Storage: 931 GB Seagate
PSU: PSU SEASONIC SS-750AM 750W RT

I built this PC back in 2013 and I feel like current games are weighing heavy on my fps. ACS (Assassins Creed Syndicate) has trouble running at times. I get around 50 fps w/ High settings. But on games like Fallout 4 I won't even get close to 60 fps on high settings even on overclock (mostly because F4 crashes everytime I get anywhere near overclocking). I want to be able to run Ultra settings at 60 fps or more on games. Streaming is also important to me. Another reason to upgrade is that ACS (and frickin' Ubisoft) require more than 2GB of video memory and I don't match that.

So on that note, how should I upgrade? I have three options, I could grab another GTX 760 and SLI, I could grab a GTC 970 (or 900 series), or I could wait til the new Pascal cards. I need more video memory to game and I feel more games will require them (especially Ubisoft). Would a 2 or 4GB 760 be able to increase my video memory, or would I need a new card for that? Does my current MB support SLI? (I thought it did) Lastly, should I worry about bottlenecking with my current setup?

Key word: "Rumor".

The worst thing that you might have to do is update your BIOS.

If you are ready to wait until summer of 2016 for Pascal, then wait for Pascal. As of right now, you could go for R9 390 (it has 8GB VRAM) as an upgrade to your GTX 760.

I guess you could be right. I'm no where near the expert on this stuff but I've heard arguments that Pascal will require new MB and CPU due to a change in the GPU architecture. My 760 is getting a bit dated and I would love to get Pascal when it comes out, but thats a heck of a lot of money to drop if these rumors turn out to be true.

That would be a dumb move on Nvidas part if that were true. They would lose a vast majority of their sales for users who just want to upgrade. I am going to write that one off as nonsense, dont worry about it. PCIe 3.0 is backwards compatible all the way to 1.1, so I dont see new hardware being necessary (especially considering the basic architecture and build of Skylake is similar to Haswell).
Im running a Phenom II and a 760, I recommend waiting.

Ah, well I'll take your word on that then. I would love to get any of the new Pascal GPU's. I just got to be careful about which ones, currently I can't run any 3-fan GPU's because of the size of my case. for some reason I choose a mid size Apevia case when I built the machine. As long as nothing will bottleneck my system with the new GPU then it would be a great.

I think I will wait then
