hi guys.
i really need some help. my pc is ancient now, approx 7 years old but it runs perfectly well. i would really like to upgrade my graphics card to something just slightly better. i am on a very low budget so i want to upgrade but without having to upgrade anything else aswell. i was thinking of the 1080ti but seen the prices so maybe something not so expensive. im not sure what came inbetween the 960 and 1080, i dont know how to find that stuff out lol.
now, im not a big gamer but i do like to play sometimes. i got doom eternal for xmas but i can only play it on medium settings so basically i havent been able to play. if i try it on high, it boots me back to my home screen! but who wants to play doom on medium! i like the detail in the graphics.
as i have no other issues with my build, i dont want to replace anything i dont need to. ive never replaced anything before and i dont understand computer language. i guess i just want to take my old card out and put something a bit better in if thats possible. im unsure of what to look for compatability wise.
im just looking for a straight simple 'yes thatll work or no it wont - but this will' kind of answer. can someone please help me out. this is a big task for me. thank you.

I would not upgrade the GPU until you get a decent power supply in there.
