Hi I have a Dell T3500 with: -
Intel Xeon W3530 2.8GHz processor, 4GB ram and a ATI FirePro V3750 (FireGL) (256mb) video card. Windows 7.
My current cad programme (Turbocad 2016) is slow which indicates I may need a faster graphics card.
I have access to a HP NVIDIA Quadro 4000 Graphics Card - 2GB GDDR5 - VCQ400-PB at a reasonable price.
My question is will a HP based card fit in the T3500
I would be grateful for any assistance
Mike

Have re-purposed a few of these T3500. See signature below.

Agree the RAM and CPU will be holding you back. As suggested, go to 12gb or more if you can. Update the BIOS to latest version (A17). That will allow you to run the newer Westmere processors. Then you can go with used X5687 for about $70, which will bring you up to 3.6ghz.
It should fit as a 670 fits there and the Quadro 4000 is shorter , but your hard drive cage may need to be removed. I would suggest a low-profile card if you want to still have your hard drive cage

You are running a 7 year old CPU with 4 GB of RAM, the video card is only a part of your slowness issues.

Double the RAM to 8 GB, replace your hard drive (I am guessing it's the original one with the system) with an SSD, get that faster video card, should speed things up pretty well. Although the CPU may hold things back.
