Hi, all,
I'm hoping to upgrade the hard drive in an old laptop. I found the specs for the laptop:
Enchanced IDE PCI Bus, Supports Ultra DMA 33 (Windows 98 only), DMA mode 2, PIO mode 4.
Hard disk accepts 2.5 inch, 9.5 and 12.7 mm hard disks - 4.8 or 6 GB.
Most of that is gibberish to me, was hoping someone here might help me out.
My question is, would a new hard drive be compatible with that laptop? A FUJITSU MHM2200AT 20GB MOBILE HD-4200 RPM ATA/66 2MB 9.5MM?
The only thing I can understand is that the physical size of the drive is the same, 2.5 x 9.5 mm.
Any help in this at all is much appreciated.

It should work in your system. I don't know if it'll recognize the full size of the drive, but I'm sure there are ways around that.
